In mid July 2021 I took my husband to St Louise Hospital after speaking to his neurologist regarding his condition. A little on my husbands condition: My husband had a major stroke in August of 2020 and was helicoptered out from this facility (St Louise Medical in Gilroy the subject hospital) to Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California due to his grave condition because St Louise was not able to deal with his condition. His right side was completely paralyzed and his brain was bleeding and this required several months away from home in various treatment facilities. He suffered cognitive decline and needs a wheelchair to get around and needs round the clock care. Since coming home he had a major seizure which caused the hospital (Valley Medical) to intubate him for several days, he got pneumonia and was a very sick man. Eventually he got better from this and returned home. He needs complete care…bathing, dressing, and is incontinent and is now 66 years old. His condition is tenuous and has had many ups and downs. In July 2021 I contacted his neurologist regarding an issue my husband was having and his neurologist instructed me to take him to the emergency room. I checked in at St Louise Medical in Gilroy our local hospital and eventually was called in by the nurse and I gave the info to the nurse about his condition. He (the nurse) then told me we both needed to wear the hospital masks and I refused because I took extra care with our masks to keep them sanitized and I knew that the masks they offered were made in China and I knew that a lot of those masks were not very sterile. He told me that it was hospital policy that we wear their masks or they would not treat my husband a very sick man in a wheelchair whom I could barely move because he was so lethargic due to dehydration and I told the nurse that. He said they would not treat him because this was hospital policy. As I argued with this nurse I believe it was probably the nurse manager that came over and she was extremely rude and just told us to leave the hospital and walked away from us. I was shocked and paralyzed with fear realizing what hospitals had turned into since Covid. Now realizing what a hoax this Covid crap has been and knowing what my husband went through at various facilities not being allowed to see family because of this hoax and we are still being terrorized. This is the darkest of times in the history of this nation. I hope this hospital is investigated because if they are allowed to set their own rules or policies as to who they treat and let others die we are in a sad dark world. I am fearful and very saddened for my husband’s situation. I never thought I would see this happen in this otherwise beautiful nation that we love so much. It feels like a nightmare. | ||
